Good to see that there will be no format warMy question has to do with the audio side ... will I need a new SSP to handle the audio on the HD DVD's or will my old Lexicon MC1 and beloved Cal Audio SSP still be usable ?
Follow Ups:
I'm guessing there will be enough room for an "old style" DTS or DD track, as well as the new 7.1 discreet format, much in the same way stereo audio tracks on DVD are still encoded in Pro Logic. For the new 7.1 discreet formats, you'll probably need a new decoder. I doubt they'd do a firmware update for the old MC1, but the current generation SSP's probably can be upgraded to support it.

Guess we will just have to wait and see ... Thanks Dave
