Folks,What is the difference between a "true" component cable (Red+Blue+Green) and the ordinary 3-RCA cable (Yellow+Red+White). Is there any difference in the construction, or just both are the same? I guess both can bse used to connect a DVD player to a TV via the component connection.
Follow Ups:
Red/Yellow/White three connector cables are meant for audio and composite video (Red and White are audio, Yellow is composite video.)Component video cables (Red/Blue/Green) are usually spec'd for higher bandwidth needed for a progressive video signal (several MHz) as opposed to audio which maxes out at around 20KHz. There are other differences, but in general dedicated component video cable will work better than using audio cable.
