This problem may be an easy one, but a new one for me so I don't know where to begin.I have a Mitsubishi XL25 LCD projector and just encountered (out of nowhere) a situation where I am receiving a B&W image from any "video" source which includes VCR and cable television. I also have a DVD player and computer providing images and they are still in color and perfectly normal.
I made no changes via the menu system and the problem did not follow any changes of cables or anything else. It just began without warning.
The only "video" input I use is the S-video input since I have always used an SVHS VCR and do not use the composite/RCA input at all.
Any insights or guidance will be greatly appreciated.

This type of connection uses one set of pins for the chroma signal and the other set for the luma signal. Your problem stems from one or more of the following: the chroma pins on the cable are bent or not properly connected (somehow the cable was slightly pulled or shifted) or the input/output chroma pins/sleeves (on the projector, CATV or VCR) are broken.I would start with the cable. Disconnect it from the source and the projector and visually check the pins/sleeves. If all's OK, plug the cable back in and make sure it's securely connected. Turn the system back ON and see if the problem's fixed. If not, recheck the color setting in the Setup Menu on the projector. Is it where it's supposed to be?
