Video Asylum

I am especially wondering about this units video performance. How good is the video performance, lets say as compared to the Denon 2910. Does it have the chroma bug, image quality? I am planning on using this unit with a Loewe aconda 38, will turn off progressive on dvd player and have the tv upconvert. I am also thinking of using a small 5.1 system, Velocity series from Phase Technology. I heard that the video board in this unit is the same that is in the 768 dvd player which I understand is a very good dvd player. It seems that there are some bad pioneer elite dvd player reviews.
