Those are quartz halogen bulbs and must not be touched by your fingers. The oils off your hand will cause them to explode, and you are supposed to change the bulbs by using the cardboard sleeve in which they are shipped and then remove them.
If you've touched the bulbs they will explode. If you haven't, then try to find replacements made in Japan not China. The Chinese made bulbs are a pice of C**p.

The bulb by Sharp is in a complete housing assembly with a parabolic mirror and a "handle" to grab and install the unit. It is difficult to touch the bulb during installation, and warnings abound all over the carton with that message. I suppose someone packing the assembly could have touched the bulb.
I think it would be a good idea to use rubber gloves in hanling replacement bulbs. To be on the safe side try cleaning the bulb with high purity alcohol before installing.
