I am wanting to purchase a HD tv, and this seems to be the best one out there. anyone have other possibilities?
How much better is the picture of the 50" SXRD from the 60", or does it matter?
Thanks,
Richard

I've got the 60" SXRD. Its a fantastic set. The 50" might be a pinch brighter, but thats about it. The difference is rather trivial, compared to being immersed in a 60" picture.
As for 1080p input that people keep harping about, if that is mandatory for you, then wait another 9 months to buy an SXRD with 1080p inputs. Personally, I don't care about it. Blu-ray, if it isn't stillborn, will put out 1080i, as well as 1080p.

Do you need to spend that kind of money right now? I wouldn't buy a display that didn't accept and display a 1920x1080p input. The current Sony's display 1920x1080, but they won't accept a 1080p input. The next gen players will be hitting the streets in a few months and the better ones will be able to output a 1080p signal. Sure they'll be able to output an interlaced signal (1080i), but why add more processing to the signal and how good will those "down-rezzing" chips be?You also might want to read some of the SXRD threads at AVS Forum in the Rear Projection Displays section.
