Video Asylum

with 16:9 aspect ratio screen of which the HDMI input malfunctioned. It was working up to about a month ago when suddenly the signal went kaput although it stays on for almost 4 sec. approx. and then blank. I check other inputs such as the Component, coaxial, S video the connectivity, cabling and sources (DVD and HD table top reciever) were all working just fine. So obviously the problem is coming from the HDMI input alone.

Does anyone here has similar problem if so what was done to it to rectify it. TIA.
