Ok, I understand Video switching, route your signal through the reciever, and when you switch between video 1, video 2 etc your tv will display the signal your reciever.(right?) So what I am wondering is can I run the monitor out on my TV to the reciever, and do the same? The TV I have just has the yellow RCA type monitor out. It does have S-Video in. I'm looking at the Panasonic XR55. I'm also looking at this Onkyo TX-LR552 that says it has HDMI Video Upconversion, does this make the difference. I'm shooting for WAP on this one. Thanks
Scott

Why do you want to do this? The TV is the end point, why run it BACK to the reciever??
just thinking that there would be some way, to hit DVD as source on reciever and then TV display is DVD. So hit TV and have the reciever be TV and TV display be TV. All this with having to hit a button or switch a switch so you want to change channels, or change volume etc.But I can't do this with my setup, since changing the channel on my TV always defaults it back to TV display as it should. Now if I had a cable box, VCR, some other channel switcher it would be possiable.
