Use the sub's Xover to filter bass to the mains. That way you won't have to worry about the receiver's bass management.

But these days, $200-250 will buy you a lower-end Yamaha, Onkyo, Sony et. al. that will provide an active Xover filter and do the job.

Simplistic, but it's late..........
