Video Asylum

Well I just got a Samsung 4092 LCD TV - Great PQ BTW!

I thought I would use the HDMI inputs on the TV. I have a Samsung HD-841 DVD Player with a DVI output(No HDMI). So I got a DVI to HDMI cable and hooked it up.

- Does not work! - Recognizes that there is a connection on the HDMI but just displays a Screen full of static. The component Video connection from the DVD player to the TV works fine.

I tried the DVD Player with Cable on my other Samsung TV and got the same result.

Do I have the right cable? - Or is this something that may be a problem with the technology?
