when I went from ProLogic to Dolby Digital on movies. Pro Logic is such a compromise, even on soundtracks that don't have a lot of surround/rear channel information. Just for starters, the dialog was much more understandable with Dolby Digital/DTS.

If you buy a receiver with the room calibration feature as I did, you'll have the benefit of a system exactly tailored to your room, as well.
