Good call - I thought of that too - there is a separate configuration menu for DTS and I double checked it but couldn't find anything that would cause the center channel to be MIA. I checked the manual but didn't find anything there either. However, the set-up is fairly complex and I was hoping someone who uses this processor and is more familiar than I with it would have some input.
Follow Ups:
From the Quick Setup guide on Theta's site, there is a Menu option to have the Center channel ON/OFF and also a Level setting for the Center channel. Dolby Digital and DTS can have independent settings. Could the DTS level setting be set to "0"?What DVD player are you using? I can't remember what happens to the digital output if a DVD player with a DTS decoder is set up for Center channel OFF. That's grabbing at straws, but what the hell.
Good call on the DVD player - I thought about that last night, checked the setting and DTS was being output as "PCM" rather than bitstream. Changed the setting and everything works like a charm.
