Hi guysI'll go straight to the point.Do hd-dvd and/or blue-ray discs have a dvd layer? The reason i am asking,is,i do not wish to purchase a first generation player. If i begin purchasing discs untill something really good (hardware) or a universal player comes out, will i be able to watch those films on a regular dvd player,in "dvd mode/resolution" of course ? And if yes,is a dvd layer a standard feature on blue-ray and hd-dvd discs or no ?
Follow Ups:
Only a few HD DVDs have a DVD layer (on the flip side), they are "combo" discs. Most do not have a DVD layer. I don't think any BD discs have a DVD layer.
