I was just offered a really good deal on a new Esoteric DV-60 universal player, and am thinking of pulling the string, but wanted some feedback first. It would serve primarily as a DVD player in my second system. Any thoughts on the video performance? The specs look VERY impressive, and a few people I've spoken to have had some great things to say about it. Any thoughts/comments would be appreciated!

If you are after a truly universal player why not wait until someone markets one capable of playing the two types of hi def discs?

  The format wars need to resolve themselves first. The question is how badly do you want a Universal with primo audio playback ?
