I would build it around what you have already. If your pre-amp has HT bypass you could get a faily inexpensive receiver with 6 to 8 pre-outs and keep your 2 channel system as it is. I think Harmon Kardon or Pioneer might fit the bill. You may have a harder time finding a cheap HT pre-amp only. Of course you could buy a home theater in a box but you will most likely get what you pay for.

Thanks for your reply. I have a processor loop on the pre-amp. Would that work like HT bypass?
