I have a Motorola DVT6412 III, a High Def DVR. I am wondering about adding maybe a harddrive or something to it. It has USB outputs, and a 'firewire EEEE' (whatever that is) output, among others. Emailing Motorola, they mention the firewire output, but say it isn't fully supported yet. My cable co says no way. It has maybe 15 hrs Hi Def memory, and 50 hrs non-Hi Def memory as it is. This isn't a lot of memory in my opinion. I'm thinking they are cautious about people recording stuff in Hi Def? Maybe someone out there has an idea. Thanks.

It is a lot more recording time than was on a Videotape. How much tv do you watch?
