I haven't been able to find any advice anywhere on the best surround sound system for the small two-storey hall of my new apartment. I was wondering if anyone reading this can help me?I'm thinking of getting the B&W MT-20 speakers with a Denon AVR-2106 (I can't seem to find a rating of it in WHAT HIFI). I like the sound enough and prefer clarity to bass.
But I'm wondering if it'd be more advisable to get something like the BOSE Lifestyle 35 which supposedly can adjust to various room conditions.
The thing is, I much prefer the sound of the MT-20 and I find the Bose a little bassy and lacking clarity. But my worry is that it may sound horrible in my small echo-y double-storey hall. Will the Bose be a better solution to my needs in this case?
Does anyone have similar experience and can offer some advice on what system is best?
Follow Ups:
There are no speakers or equipment that will cure an echoy room! You need some sound treatment, immediately. There are lots of wall hangings, sound pads, etc that are on the market. You needs to deal with the room acoustics before you place an HT system in your home.
