hopefully, this is the appropriate forum.i have no idea what I'm doing. I'm an audio guy ;-)
we have basic cable (about 80 channels), no box, just a live cable we plug directly into our living room TV.
rather than paying for another cable line in the bedroom, can i use something like the X10 video sender (http://www.x10.com/promotions/wireless_video_sender_vk80a.html)?
main thing is how does it work? does is have a built-in tuner? or, since i don't have a cable box, do i have to leave the living room TV to use it as a tuner? all i want is basically a wi-fi transmitter and a receiver so i can "broadcast" the live cable feed to our bedroom TV and use the TV's built-in tuner? is this possible?
someone said something about a frequency agile modulator, whatever the heck that is ;-)

HELP!
Follow Ups:
.........……...A video sender can send any signal to another room. The quality of the sound/picture will depend on the distance and obstructions in the way. Most senders have two components. The base (sender/transmitter) & the receiver of the signal.
You will almost certainly need to have your main TV on with the channel selected you wish to “send” to the other room.
Your TV should have a “video out” or “monitor out” as well as “audio out”.
All you do is connect the video out/monitor out to the sender (along with the audio of course) and at the other end you connect the receiver to an A/V input on the TV.
Senders do not have a tuner they just send a signal. As long as both TV’s have A/V inputs and outputs it is a piece of cake.
Connection is made usually by composite cable or if the sender & TV’s have it S-video. Audio is usually just RCA L/R in/out.
Easy eh?
Good luck
