That you can afford. I'm not a fan of DLP, but others are. I prefer Sony's SXRD. Both have bulbs, that will eventually have to be repplaced.

Eventually I will need to suck it up and just pull the trigger. Have been reading here in archives and grateful for this resource- Tom
The best thing to do, is to go out and look at what's out there. Try to see the sets in different places, and hopefully with lighting that is similar to how you will be watching at home. None will be calibrated correctly, so feel free to fiddle with adjustments and setting for the picture. If possible, watch something you are familiar with.
