Ceiling mounting isn't a problem. It's the wife's approval that is the problem. I am thinking of putting the projector on the coffee table that will obviously be in front of the sitting position. The HD70 gives 28 db noise. Is this going to be a distraction? I have a NAD T753 receiver that has a fan and a Toshiba HD-A2 HD DVD player that also has a fan. The fan noise is noticeable but is still not distracting enough to take me out of the movie. Will any screen type do? Does it have to be a special screen (coating)?
Follow Ups:
if you can afford it as it enhances the black color much better than the normal white screen. In addition, it minimizes the hot spots if you happen to turn up the contrast to compensate for the inept brightness of some projector. With your projector, the silver gray screen with 1.2 gains is plenty.
