I have a need to switch a couple of composite video sources to a single output -- and it being composite, I really don't want to spend much money on the task. I've found an inexpensive video switch that has all the capabilities I need (a remote, in particular) -- but it's component, not composite.Am I daft for thinking I could just buy the component switch, and use one of the three channels to switch the composite signal? The impedance should be the same, and the bandwidth should be more than sufficient. And then when I get rid of this composite-crippled spare room TV, I'd have a better chance of finding a use for the switch. Anyone tried it?
