I'm in the market for a HD set and have been looking at LCD and Plasma and am probably going to buy a Pioneer plasma. The Pioneer (5070) just seems to have a better picture than any other plasma and most other TV's that I've seen.
Anyone else have any experiences to share on these sets?
Thanks,
Bill
Follow Ups:
I did a mass comparison of sets and found that the Pioneer had a slightly better PQ than the Panasonic, however given the price differential I opted for the Panasonic as it wasn't worth it to me.I also did comparisons in std def and found that the Panasonic excelled over all the sets I tried as well (since we'll be stuck using SD for most channels a little while more).
They're both great sets and I wouldn't consider it a poke in the eye if I got either one!
Of course, YMMV.
I haven't compared the two sets. If I had, who knows if they would have both been adjusted properly anyway? I bought a Panasonic based on many reviews I read saying the picture quality was very close...but the Panasonic was a lot less expensive. For the money it wasn't worth it for me to get a few more features and possibly a better picture. Obviously it's worth it for some, or Pioneer wouldn't be selling many sets.
