Nice TV. I have the 60" XBR1 in my living room-too small for my family room. Be aware, that what you may be looking at, isn't really bad upscaling, but just your large set magnifying the flaws of the SD broadcasts. SD TV broadcasts tend to really suck. That said, the upscaling on these sets isn't the best-a good upscaling DVD player will out preform it. Since that seems to be the case, you may wish to get an outboard scaler. I have no experience with them, but I've heard they were quite good.
I've been thinking about getting a bigger set for my family room, and I'm debating the 70"er. I may wait a bit though.
