it seems that in order to maximise the audio & video performance of my PS3 unit, i may need to upgrade the HDMI cable linked to the receiver. is that correct?how do I know if my current HDMI cable is up to the new HDMI 1.3 specs? supposedly, HDMI 1.3 increases its single-link bandwidth from 165MHz (4.95 gigabits per second) to 340 MHz (10.2 Gbps) to support the demands of future high definition display devices, such as higher resolutions. will the PS3 or other players or receivers be able to display the data bandwidth it is receiving via any HDMI cable?
my other consideration is the CEC control function through the HDMI connectivity which is said to be able to integrate the operation of a series of connected sony components through a single remote. will this also require upgrade of HDMI cable specs to v1.3?
