Is it possible to get high quality two channel analog from the Blue Ray format?
Follow Ups:
Unless you consider uncompressed 24/48 5.1 movie soundtracks "high quality". None of the so-called "high end" companies have come up with Blu-Ray components with presumed High quality analog outputs. Maybe the Pioneer Elite player comes close. There might be a current HD-DVD player which will play DVD-A.
Blu-Ray (and to a lesser extent, HD DVD) has the potential to combine high definition video with high resolution (e.g. 5.1 24/96) audio. It just needs studios to produce the content and putting it on the disks. E.g.Pat Metheny wasn't a bad start: hi-def video but only 16/48 audio).
