In Reply to: using 34pin rgb input on older tv/monitors posted by hornbeck on March 05, 2001 at 14:23:48:
I do not think it will work because my KV25XBR has a 34 pin RGB imput and the service manual shows that RGB requires separate red green and blue imputs *plus* separate horizontal sync and vertical sync, for a total of five cables! I think composite has the H-sync and V-sync mixed with the red green and blue, and S-VHS doesn't separate the three colors from each other at all!In some cases it may be possible to find a true RGB + H-sync + V-sync signal inside the player.
Good luck

Whoops! I may be wrong here but if the blanking signal is not necessary, then 34 pin RGB may be compatible as it has composite sync input on pin 30!Sorry
