cables discussions will always invoke some non-friendly behavior. Never mind that. As everyone says here, trust your own ears and eyes. Components, both audio and video, will react to different cables due to lots of factors. I would even try some place like www.fatwyre.com and audition some cables if your dealer will not lend you two or three samples.

Tributaries makes a great cable. Then again, so do the others that you mentioned. Above all else, avoid the cables that shipped with your gear. For video, it is doubtful that these cables would be able to handle the video bandwidth. My S9000ES came with cables instead of the Avia or MIB DVD....I would've preferred the DVDs!
