Video Asylum

I've read the passionate opinions of the Loewe's here and in AudioReview and I'm sold that they must be great. Seeing one seems to be impossible in my region. I live in the Washington DC area and can't find a dealer that actually has one to see. Myer Emco dropped the line and others seem to be installers only. This makes me concerned about service should something go wrong. Any suggestions about where to go to view these??? Any thoughts on service??

Associated with this question: What else should I look at?? The only Proton dealer in the area has only one TV that he is dumping (an older model), so little hope there. The only thing left are the Sony XBRs that strike me as expensive compared to the quality I sense that the Loewe's and Proton's have. I can't find any Philips dealers around here. I feel a bit trapped by the lack of options!!

Suggestions Please.
