do you also have this system? can i just slip in a car audio subwoofer driver into the cabinet of the JBL's? how much power do this subs require? i plan to use an old B&K ST2020 150-watt power amp to drive these subs. Is this enough?

You should just try and use the subs first as they are and see if you like them first. You may end up liking them. But if you do end up deciding to replace them, there are a infinity of choices - and it would take some research to figure out which ones are ideal in that enclosure. Most car subs are designed for smaller enclosures. You could put in a 15" or ask around in the speaker asylum. Perhaps a NHT1259 might work, but that is more of a sealed box sub.150 watts is more than sufficient to drive the subs. They are very efficient and that amount of power will rattle the dishes out of your cabinet.
