I'm torn between technologies. I have heard nice comments about the NEC 42MP2, but I haven't had a chance to see one. On the other hand I did get a chance to see the Samsung at the factory and was very impressed with the video image. I'm torn because the wife is in love with plasma screens and I favor the flcd image. But I'm willing to be open minded since the price for both units is fairly close on the street. I've seen the NEC as low as $5400 and the Samsung as low as $4900 in the past few days. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

From what I understand Samsung might not ever be releasing the HLK 506 W so you might be better off buying the plasma screen.
