I couldn't agree more. I had a Yamaha -3090 integrated years ago, and replaced it with a DC-1 after considering the Denon 5700(?)and whatever the Marantz model at the time was. The DC-1 at today's prices is a tremendous bargain. Its only shortcomings are lack of digital inputs (4) & slightly substandard (by today's standards) video switching.I also use Rotel amps in my HT system, and they are a terrific bargain, too. Believe me, the 985 amp will IMHO easily beat any receiver you want to try it against...
