I have the same tv and I have the same problem. You are better off buying an after market rack or stand. Finding it in silver may be a problem. After two months I have not come across any with multiple shelves. By the time you add a few vcr's, dvd, receiver, converter, etc, you need at least six bays. I am going to make it myself.
Be cautious of the quality of mass market tv stands. I was in a department store today and saw some stands that had half fallen apart. Because they are melamine coated, they are just doweled together (you can not glue the melamine by it very nature). If the dowels come apart, you can be the first to post on the bouncing ability of Sony.
Cheap advice is if you buy a mass market stand, go to Home Depot and buy some small angle brackets, and #8 x 1/2" screws and reinforce those stands. How many brackets? 235 lbs and $2000 worth.
I wish I know how to post a drawing of the stand I am making. The quickie 3/4" mdf, two shelf unit I made holds three adult males (650 lbs) at minimum on top of it. Hey, I know it is not scientific, but it works. It only took two of us an hour to make.
If you want the design, ask and I will try to describe it as best as possible in a post. Stands are not complicated, but they better be well built.
