I bought a tv with excellent picture, but poor sound. I need to add a receiver plus speakers. I do not want to spend to much money. I looked around and I settled on the Pioneer for price ($200) and built in 5.1 converter. Do I need more features that what this unit have? What and why? Is there any better unit for the money.
The receiver is only for the tv.
I am building the speakers.
Follow Ups:
Being able to decode DTS would be a plus for a receiver, but at such a low price, that might be too much to ask for. I have had good luck with Pioneer receivers in the past, they offer a good bang for the buck.
