  Personally I could not hack (pun intended) a laptop as a remote. Note the complaints re the Meridian remote which is larger than most.

  The PRONTO is a superbly powerful and flexible unit programmagble from a computer. It also has a back light for use in the darl. Its buttons can be labelled to suit your purposes and macros give cross control of items. Their is a net site devoted to it at
