Can you hook a DVD player up to an OLD TV (15+ years old)? The only inputs that are on the back of the TV is one Coax and 1 RCA jack for external MONO sound. We do have two VCR's hooked up to it plus a Yamaha stereo with surround sound.
I know this isn't the best TV to get the advantages of a DVD but since one of the VCR's bit the dust and the TV is going soon (can only hope!) I didn't want to buy another VCR and then get the DVD when the TV is replaced with one from this century!
This is for my parents which are don't have a lot of extra money. I didn't want to force them to buy a new TV until they really needed one.

...and buy an RF modulator. It'll cost you about $20 or $30. Plug your DVD into the box and then plug the box into the coax of your old TV. My antique JVC (all of 7 years old) looks nice with DVD 'till I can get a new TV.
