I've got a decent set up for HT in my study. I need to add DVD to the family room TV. Two channel sound and an older 32" TV. Any recommendations on the DVD/VCR combo units that I see advertised? I'd like to get the best quality I can, you never know when I'll borrow it to the HT if my DVD goes down or needs an upgrade. Thanks in advance,
Alan
Follow Ups:
I'd stay with separate units.
1. the technology of the VCR's have matured, whilst the DVDs still have many years of improvements. So you'll probably find you will need to upgrade the DVD in 1-2 years, whilst the VCR may last another 5 or so years! (lets see when RW DVD comes!)
2. separate components are usually better than combos.
3. DVD players do not last as long as VCRS and with pricing trends, it would soon cost more to fix than to buy a new one. BR
Wilks.
Your problem is using the word quality and combination DVD/VCR in one sentence. Such units tend to be more complex and thus more costly.
