Try to do a firmware update. To give you an idea of what is involved, go to shincodvd.emuunlim.com. While this site covers the Apex line and others of that manufacture, it shows what can be done. There are other sites for hacking the dvd chips of others. Be careful, the wrong update will toast the player.
