The 9000 as a CD player: is it as good as a $1,000 Arcam or Rotel CD player ? I believe that is what a reviwer in Stereophile said.

The 9000 as a SACD player: is it very bright still? or more natural sounding?

The 9000 as a DVD player: do you have to use Progressive Scan to get the much better picture with a HDTV? Deoes component video connecttion produce better picture than 7700? (I do not have a HDTV, it is still too expensive for my budget at current price).
