***titantv.com has an antenna calculator which claims that I should be able to receive nearly 9 digital TV stations and some HDTV shows are listed on those channels.Well, good luck. I should be able to receive five, but can only get two, that with very high gain antenna on the roof.
You never know until you try. I am using the set-top Toshiba box. The two stations I get have full scale signal, the rest is just not there, but then I have plenty of trees around.
More important point - I never watch it because there is nothing worth watching for me as of yet. Your case might be different. But I only turn mine on to impress the visitors.
Follow Ups:
... titantv tells me that I need some kind of outdoor antenna to get the three OTA digital stations where I live, and I get them with just the Radio Shack double bowtie UHF antenna. As always, YMMV - Pat
