Problem solved! I just picked up a new SONY NS500V DVD player that has built-in DTS decoder. In its config menu, it has options for BOTH DD and DTS conversion to PCM digital output! You can select whether to digitally output DD and DTS as they are or convert them into PCM. Since I don't have a PCM DAC right now, I can't test it. But when I get my Kora Hermes next week, it will be very interesting. :)
