I just bought a KLH DAV5022 factory refurbished model and hooked it up to my TV (which has all the proper hook-ups...S-video, etc.)The unit's display is operating correctly, it recognizes discs, etc.
However, there is no video signal getting through to the TV. I have triple checked the connections (with new S-video cable & other cables that came with the player) and they are all correct.
But, all I get is "snow" on the screen. My VCR works fine with this TV, but that is through the Coax hookup.
The instruction book that came with the unit is fairly cryptic when it comes to trouble shooting, so I am left with the possibility that this unit doesn't work.
any thoughts for a guy new to the DVD arena? (besides "why did you buy such a cheezy DVD player?")
thanks!
Follow Ups:
you didn't say if you switched the inputs on your set!
That usually will get you there, if not already.
Snow sounds like you are still on antenna or cable inputs.
Check the TV remote- you should have a 'input select' button somewhere!Cheers
Damn
