My Panasonic PVDV401 MiniDV (digital) camcorder sports an S-Video spigot and an "iLink" IEEE1394 "Firewire" port.I know the firewire port carries a digital signal but HDTVs in my price range do not usually have a firewire port, so I am wondering what can I expect out of the S-Video port? Is it going to sync up with the HDTV in 480i or 1080i or something else?

Recieved answer on DV.com -MiniDV Camcorder S-Video puts out 480i at 720x486 (NTSC) and the firewire port is not using the same protocol as 5C (may or may not work - no one knows yet).
