Hi,I own a Marantz SR19EX Reference Receiver. I am an audiophile from the past and would never have compared any receiver to seperates, but I am impressed with this unit's performance and build quality. Just for fun I assembled an Adobe pdf document and included the original Marantz SR19EX brochure, a product review from audiorevolution, and digital pictures of mine with teh top removed to see close ups of how they built the unit. The unit is actually fully descrete, (no ICs), in the pre and main amplifers as they claim. Yes, I had to open it to prove it to myself.
The document is large, almost 3MB, but if anyone is out shopping and interested in this info I can email it to them.
Just looking to share...
Jim
Follow Ups:
I have just started to assemble a system. I bought a used marantz SR-18 receiver and assume yours has the same terminals as mine. What the heck terminals for speaker cable do I use? Spades don't look like they would fit, bananas seem to large to fit in the hole, rca's are too small. Do I just clamp down on bare wire? What about bi-wiring? Any help is appreciated.
Best, Patrick
