In Reply to: Is it possible to record dvd on a Sony hard disc recorder? posted by Lito on November 19, 2001 at 15:52:24:
So far as I know, you don't. All DVDs have a watermark that is supposed to prevent pirating. Let's pretend like you didn't really ask that question, because illegal activities are not supported by the Asylum.
Follow Ups:
The guy bought the disc, he can damn well make a copy for personal use. This was determined way back in the '70s, when Disney tried to sue Sony over the Betamax and LOST.I can't believe people are parroting and supporting studios' attempts to infringe their rights and rip them off.
Remember when the record companies were found guilty of collusion and price-fixing a couple of years ago, yet not punished? These are the same assholes who are now complaining about MP3. The same ones who killed DAT, when everyone with a brain knew that 99 percent of music copying was taking place in dorm rooms on double-cassette boom boxes.
Please, reclaim your brain.
