I am shopping for my Dad to replace his Adcom seperates (500II tuner/preamp & 555II amp) with a surround sound receiver. I want to get the best bank for the buck receiver that is at least on par with the Adcom musically. I have considered the discontinued Sony STR-DA777ES, higher end Marantz & Denon. Also, he needs a phono stage.
Can this be done? Thanks for any help from the experts.
