Hi,Can anyone point me to any threads or let me know their thoughts on the DV88? Is it quiet? I own the FMJCD23 and I think that it is an awesome CDP, - I'm very, very happy with it. I am looking for something similar from Arcam in a DVD player. Does it stand up??
I don't really care if it plays CDs or SACDs or whatever...
My biggest concern actually, is how quiet it is. I am never going to be a super huge HT nut. I just want a quiet, durable and good sounding player. (It will be quite a while before I go out and drop the big bucks on a large screen Loewe).

The arcam is quiet after the the first loading of the disc and menu screens. Once the movie begins it is super quiet. The picture is unreal. Super crisp,sharp,, 3-dimensional in nature,. I have it hooked up to the Loewe Planus and am in heaven when watching movies.This is defitely one of the best dvd players on the market..
