I currently have a 36" Sony Vega(not widescreen) and was wondering what size widescreen would have the same picture size as the 36" when watching cable tv. I have a BIG collection of DVD's so thats why I want to get a widescreen TV, yet I want the picture to be at least 36" when watching cable....Thanks.

I can't answer your question directly, but if I were you, I'd measure the picture size you want for cable viewing and take it to the stores. See what's out there in your price range, do some homework, and make an educated purchase.Good luck!
