Make sure all the speakers (excluding subwoofer) in your home theatre are voice/timbre matched — that is, the emit the same tonal footprint. This usually means they are all from the same product line of a specific manufacturer.

I would agree for the three front speakers that timbre matching is important. The rear speakers need to be close to the same efficiency, but, I don't find they need to be timbre matched as the information they carry is mostly "effects" - and not dialog. To me, the question is whether they should be direct, bi-poles, or di-poles. Since THX, DTS, and Dolby have different requirements for speakers in the rear position, it seems to be a bit of a crap shoot at the moment and really room-dependent.
