My receiver (Yamaha RX-V3000) allows to connect 2 pairs of main speakers. How this works? How many watts are supply to each speakers? Does the same burr brown processor handle signals for all speakers?
Follow Ups:
Check the manual, it should tell you what option is used. There are 2 main options.
1. It connects speakers in series.
2. It connects speakers in parallel.
Series connection will cut power by half, while parallel will double the power.
To find out which option is in your receiver, do this.
Connect both of your speakers as left (or right, does not matter) on both A and B outputs. This means one speaker to A left and other to B left, (still only 2 speakers) then hit both A and B to work. If they both work, you have parallel connection and it will add (double) power. If they do not work, you have series connection and it will split (1/2) power.
