I went out looking for a 40 inch tv and was really impressed with the grand wega (60 inches) for little more than the rest of the high end direct views (Loewe, etc). Has anyone else seen this tv? Has it been reviewed anywhere? Thanks. Charles

I do not if the U.S model match the EU one,but let me tell you my story...I had 4 Sony Grand Wega..they ALL broke down for one or another reason...
But as I had them for ,more than one year,I will say :
A middle good product, with ONE big flaw..the one you need quite a few days to find out...NO blacks,NO details in the greys,ALL washed out..
Sony gave me my money back...I know have the new Pioneer PLASMA 503 HDE,with black you can live with...
That is the same conclusion I am coming to. I went back to two stores in Houston that had it on display, and after getting over the fascination with the 60" screen, I began to notice the lack of details and the grey blacks. On a real picture, ie not the display HD signal, the colors seemed really washed out also. I have started looking at 50 inch plasmas instead, since the price has continued to spiral downward.
